Dr Al-Ansari is a consultant Gastroenterologist who commenced working in Australia in 2012. He underwent his Physician and Gastroenterology training in New Zealand at the Auckland clinical training network, Waikato Hospital (Hamilton), Otago teaching hospital (Dunedin). Dr. Al-Ansari then worked in Middlemore hospital in Auckland/New Zealand where he undertook a research fellow position in Endoscopy, during which he completed research projects in Capsule Endoscopy, and Colon imaging. He received an award for best research twice by the NZ society for Gastroenterology.

As well as consulting in Melton Specialist Clinic, he has consulting sessions in the following places:
